Pressure

Pressure = force per unit area acting perpendicular to the area, P = F/A, and is measured in Pascals (Pa) = 1 Nm-2

The pressure in a fluid at rest acts equally in all directions, it also increases with depth. Pressure of a liquid column of height H = Hρg where ρ is the density of the liquid.

Pressure measuring devices; the U-tube manometer, the Bourdon gauge, the electronic pressure gauge, the Fortin barometer the aneroid barometer, the sphygmomanometer.

The upthrust of an object in a fluid is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced: The Archimedes Principle.
